“10 out of 5 stars! :) The park itself is extremely beautiful and more than worth seeing. Our guide, Nikolai, was absolutely amazing. He was kind and funny, and really did his best to connect with each guest. His knowledge of the flora, fauna, history, and legends of the area was the best of any nature tour guide we have encountered. His campfire building and cooking skills could have been their own tour—wonderful Finnish food, including ones from his own home town(s). He even played music around the campfire on really special instruments. Fantastic day—highly recommend!”

The meeting spot was centrally located, and our guide, Alex, was already there to meet us. He gave us a quick overview of the day, and let us know that he had ponchos, sunscreen, and insect repellent for each of us if we needed it. The trail itself was beautiful- great to be in nature after spending a couple of days in the very busy industrial city. The trail was lined with blueberry plants, and Alex shared interesting details about the plants and animals that we encountered. The campground was great…”

“Take an Aussie to forest and snow and we’re happy haha. Jeff our guide was so friendly, punctual and looked after member of the group really well. Great sense of humour. And knowledge of the wilderness was top notch. Beautiful day. Transportation was very comfortable, to the point most guests fell asleep on the trip back. The shoes I borrowed from Jeff’s supply was incredibly comfortable and useful for the hike. Spikes also supplied for those icy patches. Lunch was so delicious. Jeff is great cook! Loved the Finnish campfire experience! Standing on the frozen lake was a treat. Lastly, foraging in the forest for berries was certainly a nice…”

“There were 4 of us on our tour. Our tour guide Malcom (aka ‘Malc’) was friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about Northern Lights. Unfortunately, Malc was clearly not very experienced in the Korouoma Waterfalls tour that we were doing. He entered the incorrect destination address into his GPS and drove for another 1.5 hours beyond where we were due to stop. With only 4 hours of daylight in Rovaniemi at this time of year, we had wasted precious daylight hours with that error. Malc was apologetic and promised to get us to the waterfalls and ‘make up for it’ albeit a little dark. Not 2km down the road, we then…”
